Restaurant Alpenroyal

In our restaurant, we serve a daily 4-course menu. During the cold winter months we treat our guests to a Fondue Chinoise and a raclette evening every week. You can end the evenings on the hotel’s terrace with a magnificent view and a fine glass of wine selected from our extensive wine list. Breakfast in winter is served from 7.30 am to 10.30 am, and in summer from 7.00 am to 10.00 am. Around lunchtime, we serve small snacks on request. Dinner 7.00 pm until 9.00 pm – we kindly ask guests to be seated at the table no later than 9.00 pm.

Fondue Chinoise

Fondue Chinoise, also called Feuertopf, is a popular dish in winter. Take your time and enjoy this unique dish, it is a must when you visit Switzerland.


Here, in the canton of Valais, raclette is unlike the raclette you will find anywhere else in the world. We do not use small pans, instead we spread the melted cheese straight onto the plate from the cheese wheel.

Valais wines

Valais wines are rare and bathed in sunshine. There is virtually no export of these wines, meaning you will normally only be able to drink this specialty in Switzerland. Our hotel offers a fine selection of regional wines.
